We also collect information automatically when you use Wasup, including log data, device information, IP address, and usage activity within the app.

• Personalize your experience and deliver relevant financial insights
• Send you transactional emails, product updates, and support messages
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns to enhance security and performance

3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
• Trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating Wasup purely for improving our services, including cloud service providers (Microsoft Azure)
• Financial institutions or data aggregators as required to connect your accounts
• Law enforcement or regulatory bodies when required by applicable law
All third parties we work with are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and in accordance with this policy.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security audits to protect your personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. However:
1. The instances containing your information via the app are run on Microsoft Azure hosted VMs, with the platform having relevant compliance and security certifications.
The communication with your customers occur via WhatsApp on your device, and as such Meta is the solely responsible for applicable data security rights.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at which point it shall be actioned no later than 10 working days after initial contact.
Your rights to data misuse, confidentiality and access at all times are protected under GDPR regulations which are abided by Wasup during the relationship.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, opt out of certain data uses, or request a portable copy of your information. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at michael@wasup.co
7. Cookies
Wasup uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience, remember your preferences, and analyze app usage. You can control cookie settings through your browser or device settings.
8. Children's Privacy
Wasup is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Wasup after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
